You can match your resume to the Job Posting only when you are logged in. When you search for a Job profile, a link GET MATCH SCORE is available to the right of the Job Posting. Click here to get the match of your resume for that profile. The match scores indicates - What is job recommendation?
Based on your profile and the resume you have uploaded, Ascent matches the various profiles available and this is shown on MY DASHBOARD in descending order of relevance. Ascent updates the same every week based on the job postings for the week. - What are the Ascent Recommended Resume templates?

You can search for all walkin advertisements in the past 1 week. Click on Advanced Search and select Walkin. In the dropdown, you have the option to search for TODAY, TOMORROW and NEXT 7 DAYS. A few recruiters do not specify the email id to which the resumes need to be sent to. In such a scenario, the contact details/ way to apply is mentioned in the advertisement. Please refer the image to get these details. - What is Search similar Jobs?
Ascent has an advanced intelligent search engine which is beyond keyword search. This technology matches skill sets given mentioned in the job description and finds suitable results.
For ex. if one ad features Market Segmentation and another ad features Branding, the search engine will match these two parameters and display likewise. - What is Save Search?
You may choose to save a search parameter pertinent to your requirement and ones which give you the best results. In such a scenario you need not input the parameters the next time. Instead you can choose to search using the saved parameters.
You can save the search parameters only when you are logged in. Search using parameters which give you the best result and click on SAVE SEARCH to save. - What are the Job Alerts and How to create them?
MY DASHBOARD gives a synopsis of the jobs best fitting you. But you can modify these parameters to receive weekly mail alerts.
Go to My Settings Alerts Create Alert to choose the job alerts you would like to receive
- How do I update my profile?
Your profile automatically gets captured when you upload your resume. You may edit the fields then and there. In case, you need to update/edit your profile, go to My Profile Edit Resume to do the needful. - My resume is not getting uploaded what can I do?
In such a scenario, we advice that you try after some time since the system might be down for some technical reasons. If after a while, the system still does not respond, then please click on REPORT A PROBLEM link to write to us. - I have not received the verification mail
You may enter your email id and enter your password on the homepage in the login fields. On SUBMIT you will get a message which will prompt you to verify your username. It will also have a link TO RESEND THE MAIL, CLICK HERE. The verification mail will be resent on the registered email id - How to use the advance Search

Keywords
For a keyword search you may enter Designation, Key Skills, or company name of desired job. Keyword search is of the following types
All words Jobs matching all the keywords entered will be returned. The keywords may or may not appear in phrase.
For example: Brand Manager search will result in jobs include either "Brand" or "Manager" or both. But "Brand Manager" will result in jobs which include both words together and in the same order they have entered.
Locations
You may enter Indian cities or international countries/cities and the search result will display only those jobs which are based out of the specified locations. You can separate the locations comma.
Experience
The search result will display all those jobs with the required work experience from specified range.
Job Function
This will help you find jobs matching your specified job function. The dropdown displays 6 Job Functions and you may scroll down to find more.
Industry
This will help you find jobs matching your specified industry. The dropdown displays 6 industries and you may scroll down to find more. - I want to search jobs from particular edition of Ascent?
Searching a job from particular edition of Ascent or ET Highflier is facilitated from Advance Search. Please select the Issue Date in the range given and ads in this date range will be displayed.
